Fuck the facts
Kolektiv magazin je napravio kratki interview sa Fuck the Facts, grind core bendom koji uskoro dolazi u susjednu nam Sloveniju.

Hi folks! First of all, thanks for doing this interview. And now, the questions:
The first thing I want to ask you - you've had a lot of lineup changes over the years, how has this affected your music and you as band?
It's hard to know really because I can't honestly say what the band would sound like if all the 'original' band members had stayed,
but it's easy to know the band would have ended after a year or 2. All the line-up changes are just something we've had to deal with and will
most likely still end up dealing with at some point. I'd like to think that we make the most out of it and try and get the best elements of the changes
by getting everyone involved in the writing and creation of what is Fuck The Facts. But at the same time it is good to have some stability in the band,
and I think that since Mel has been in the band for 7 years and Vil almost 4 it's helped, so the other changes have felt more minor and we're not building
it back up from scratch.
This is your first European tour, how do you feel about it and what do you expect from Europe?
Firstly we've very excited, none of us have ever toured in Europe before so it's going to be a new experience for everyone. But at the same time it has been pretty
stressful getting everything organized to make sure we everything runs as smoothly as possible. We're doing our best to prepare for it, but there's something we just can't
really prepare for so it can be a bit nerve wrecking. I go into every tour with no real expecation except to have a good time with my band and play as well as possible,
if people that want to see us come out and enjoy it that's great, and that's pretty much the most we can hope for.
What are your goals as a band? Why do you play music and for how long do you intend to continue playing?
Just love creating and playing music, that's pretty much it. This isn't our job and we're not selling a lot of CDs or anything, we just make the music we
enjoy and that's why we keep doing it. If we have any goals it's just to keep improving on our past releases and keep making albums that we love. I really
can't see myself stopping anytime soon, but you never really know. If at some point it's not fun anymore we'll stop, but I could see us just taking longer
breaks rather then killing Fuck The Facts.
What has influenced you most as band? What helps you create music?
Everyone has they're favorite artisits and we all have a lot of common musical interests. I really love writing and playing music with different people. Learning to
play songs or parts that the other guys in my band have writing really helps me see different things I can do with my own writing. The biggest influence
is definitely getting to play with other musicians that keep the music evolving, interesting and challenging.
What are your lives like when you aren't playing shows or rehearsing? What do you do for a living and in your free time?
Most of the guys have jobs. I'm probably the biggest bum out of the bunch. I just do a few odd jobs here and there to help pay the bills. My main hobby is
definitely music, so even when I'm not doing stuff with the band (which is rare). I might do another project of some sort. Either that or I just watch
movies, play video games and just chill with my girlfriend.
Mel's also doing some fine artwork, so I'd like to know where she draws her inspiration from?
Glad you like it. It's really important to us to keep the artwork for our albums within the band rather then hire someone to do it for us. We have
done that sometimes from other friends that we really like thier stuff, but in general I like it when Mel does the art. Basically we'll get a general idea
for the album art together and then Mel will just use all sorts of different media to put something together. It changes a lot over time, and sometimes
the original idea is not even really there anymore. But the main inspiration always comes from the music and general idea of the album.
Any words of wisdom for European fans?
Stay sick or you'll die.
